Predator Kayak for Sale

Did you ever win something that you thought, ok, cool gear but I’ll never use it.  Do as this user did, and post that windfall schwagola on iGearList!

This makes sense - not only for the bigger items - but especially for smaller items like hydration packs, shoes, socks, Superfeet… and other things you sometimes get at races, but will never use.  Why?  On iGearList you won’t be paying any listing fees, or commissions on the sale.  So something that will already sell pretty cheap will still be worth selling in the end.  Makes sense, no?

Read more about how to post to iGearList here.  We’ll never ever charge you for anything, ever.  Never ever never.  No backsies on that!

Back to the schwagola - how about a 10′ recreational kayak in excellent (showroom) condition at 30% off retail price.  As my 3 year old nephew would say “THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT, OKAY!!!”

Send iGearList your Video Classifieds

Greetings from iGearList Outdoor Gear Classifieds HQ.  Apologies for the blog hiatus.  Guess what?  Our blog has the equivalent of a bum knee.  Randomly, we have lost the capability to upload pictures to our posts.  So strange!  I’m hot on the trail of a fix, but it’s not quite done yet.

Every problem, once you stop swearing at it, represents some sort of opportunity.  Here is where you come in.  We can’t upload pictures, but we can still post YouTube videos.  Are you seeing what I see?  Here it is:

  1. Take a video of the outdoor gear that you’d like to sell
  2. Upload the video to YouTube
  3. Send us the link (info at igearlist dot com)
  4. We’ll post it here and get the word out for ya!

And guess what?  Not only will we have more colorful and interesting blog posts, but for those of you with a big pile or closet-full or garage full of used outdoor gear to sell, you won’t have to list each individual item separately.  Definitely a time-saver.

Of course, the regular iGearList classifieds section still works just fine!  This is just a handy alternative.

Awwright then, let it fly!

Trango 2 Tent - $200

sweet Trango 2 Tent!

This is one of the latest listings on iGearList - a Trango 2 Tent in good condition for just $200!  That’s half, or less, of what you’d pay retail.  So, you save $200 and the seller gets $200 so they can buy something else.

With all this talk about recession, what better way to recession-proof than 1) saving money and 2) making money.  This is why buying and selling your used outdoor gear on iGearList just makes good sense!   Clean out your garage and sell that gear!  It’s spring, after all…

If you are interested in learning more about the Trango 2 Tent, visit Mountain Hardwear - but remember to come back and buy it here!

Let it Flood

Last week they released a bunch of water into the Grand Canyon - a man made flood if you will.  The idea is to mimick nature’s way, which should help restore and enhance the habitats within the canyon.  The video is intriguing to me, because the whole thing entails a simple press of a button, a flick of a lever.

Floods are natural.  You have floods in your life, right?  Busy times, times of aquisition, times of loss - all sorts of floods.

It’s coming on spring, so it’s time to let go.  Let stuff go.  You know what I’m getting at right?  With the press of a few buttons, you can set your habitat right, and sell off a bunch of your old outdoor gear on iGearList.  Sell your old rock skis, old climbing shoes, extra sleeping bags, and too-small tents.  Let it fly.

The “Cutty” ORV

my-orv.jpg

will a 1990 oldsmobile cutlass ciera make it across country”

So, occasionally I take a peek and see how people came to iGearList.  What words did they search by when they found us?  This search term has got to take the cake: “will a 1990 oldsmobile cutlass ciera make it across country”.

To the person who was searching for the answer, I have it for you:  Y-E-S.  Unless you have something against velour, cruise control, and boat-like handling characteristics, you can just let that baby fly.

I used to use my “cutty” as an ORV (Off Road Vehicle).  Her clearance was not bad at all, and the heavy engine set upon those narrow tires combined with the front wheel drive created good traction in the snow.

Anyways, enough of this Oldsmobile shenanigan, and you won’t have to suffer it again - I sold the cutty, and I do have a new writer coming on board for the blog.  Yes, to add to our ultra runner (Gear Queen), our cyclist (LuLu) and our paddler (that’s me), we’ll now have an ecologist (Eco Babe).  Look for posts about plants, birds and outdoor gear for folks who work in natural places.  Her first post is coming this week!

Stay tuned!

New posts in Women’s Apparel

Heya, we got some great new posts in Women’s Apparel yesterday - check these out!  Fleece tights, soft shell jacket and hiking pants!  Just think, if you buy all 3, you’ll be ready for the next set of storms, and you’ll save money over the retail prices.

Anyways, that’s good stuff.  That brings our count to over 50 items.  53 I believe…  Nice!  We could use more so let’m fly!
