On the heals of Levi Leipheimer taking the lead in the Tour of California after Stage 3 watching a great field of Pro Tour riders in the states, we are reminded that the Amaury Sports Organization (ASO), organizers of the major grand tours, have banned Levi’s Team Astana from competing in this year’s Tour de France due to Astana. As a result, Levi will not be able to compete in this year’s tour. This is a huge injustice - as a fan, we want to see the best riders compete.
I agree that cycling needs to crack down on doping; however, punishing a team for the actions of a few riders that are no longer with the team is wrong.
Join the effort in petitioning the ASO to reinstate team Astana at Let Levi Ride (it takes only a minute).

With the nasty weather and a lingering sickness, I had a chance to catch up on all the Best Picture Academy Award nominated pictures: Atonement, Juno, Micheal Clayton, No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood
So my thoughts and recommendations:
Atonement - could have been a good movie, but I thought it was a little too arty - it didn’t work in movie adaptation (wait for Netflix)
Juno - cute, funny, light hearted, a movie that you’ll need to see several times to get all of the jokes, and the sound track was great (pay full price and buy DVD)
Micheal Clayton - good movie, thriller, well acted (pay full price, rent DVD)
No Country For Old Men - intense, (matinee to pay full price) - I was a little anxious watching a psychopathic killer brutally murdering people, if you can get over that, it was a well done movie.
There Will Be Blood - way too long of a movie that didn’t have much to say. (stay home)
So what do you think? Post your prediction by Sunday, Feb. 28th, 5 PM PST to comments below, or send them directly to us (hint: if you include your mailing address, you get a free sticker).
This is not a scientific poll and you will not win a prize, but you can tell your friends that you have psychic powers. (And, hey. If you are psychic, we’ll be sure to feature you in our blog!)
